Disarming the dilemma of how to engage

...what the hell should I do with this maze?!!

A friend of mine (and fellow conspirator) just posted a blog. It's about a social media playbook he's creating to help simplify the what the hell should I do with this maze?!! Marc-Olivers Social Media Playbook

In a nutshell, it's about helping others feel less overwhelmed - see how they too can join in and start to get empowered. Social Media is there for us all. No need to choke on the tools that help us connect!

He showed me the playbook just yesterday afternoon when we were sharing coffee in Whistler's new local's gathering spot - Whistler's Coffee Company opposite 7-11 (should go check it out - pizza coming soon..).

Funny thing is we'd just been reminiscing over how everything online's been evolving this last little while - so fast! Where to focus, how to help others, how we can collaborate to the benefit of us all. SO much energy 'n' passion we've invested in this - where are we heading? Where have we been?!

So he (Marc-Oliver) decided to post his creation as a blog on his site - inviting others to collaborate and assist.

Got me thinking. Why do his ideas make so much sense?

The genius of 'getting simple' - time to cut the chase!

Genius is finding simplicity out of what is potentially complex. Being able to pinpoint precisely what’s relevant, and create a logical flow is the magic behind communication that works. It demonstrates clear understanding of all ideas being put into play and clarifies what’s there to be gained.

  • Getting simple is an essential process of evolution, because..
  • Getting simple clears the space in which we create.
  • Getting simple makes haste!

...social media is empowering society to communicate.

The world is changing. Simply put, social media is empowering society to communicate. To unravel the chaos we've made of this world, let go of our fears, and be open to all  - that together, we are; can create - so will we be.

Genius.
